With the series on the line at Durban, Pakistan put up their most efficient performance to take the five-match ODI series into the decider. The all-round effort by Pakistan in the fourth one-dayer was least surprisingly considering their ability to spring surprises out of nowhere.

Pakistan laboured to a 3-wicket win with 8 balls to spare despite chasing a modest target of 235 against an average South African bowling attack. The Durban pitch was slow and there was hardly any lateral movement for the quicks.

Wayamba United led by Mahela Jayawardene opened its SLPL campaign with a thumping 9-wicket win over Uthura Rudras led by Jehan Mubarak on Sunday. Wayamba seem to be the most powerful side in the SLP especially in the batting department.

An all-round show from Angelo Mathews – 0/41 in 10 overs followed up by a superb unbeaten knock of 80 helped Sri Lanka clinch a thrilling victory over Pakistan in the Final ODI. Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by a narrow margin of two wickets with two balls to spare to clinch the ODI Series 3-1.
